Step 5 — Install the Stremio App

With your account configured, install the Stremio application on your device(s) and log in. Your addon setup will sync automatically.

Platform instructions

Windows

1. Download the Windows installer from stremio.com/apps
2. Run the .exe file and follow the installer prompts
3. Launch Stremio and log in with your account credentials

macOS

1. Download the macOS package from stremio.com/apps
2. Open the .dmg and drag Stremio to the Applications folder
3. On first launch, macOS may display a security prompt — right-click the app and select Open to bypass it
4. Log in with your account credentials

Linux

Flatpak (recommended)

flatpak install flathub com.stremio.Stremio
flatpak run com.stremio.Stremio

AppImage

chmod +x Stremio-*.AppImage
./Stremio-*.AppImage

Android / Android TV

Install Stremio from the Google Play Store. On Android TV, search directly on the device or sideload the APK from stremio.com/apps.

iPhone / iPad / Apple TV

Search for Stremio or Stremio Lite on the App Store. Both apps support the same account and addon configuration.

Apple App Store — April 2026

As of April 2026, the Stremio app is not available on the Apple App Store in all regions. Availability may vary. Check the App Store directly or refer to stremio.com/apps for the current status and any alternative installation methods.

Confirm addons are synced

After logging in, navigate to ⚙️ Settings → Addons. The addons configured by the Bootstrapper should be listed. If they are not present, log out and back in to trigger a sync.

Additional devices

Installing Stremio on additional devices requires only logging into the same account. Addons, watchlist, and watch history sync automatically across all devices associated with the account.
