Search
Type a movie or show name into the search bar. Select a result to open its detail page.
Stream list
On a movie or episode detail page, select Watch Now or click the play icon to open the stream list. This queries your installed addons and returns all available sources.
The ⚡ TorBox Cache indicator next to a stream means the file is already on TorBox's servers — it will begin playing within seconds of selection.
Reading stream labels
| Label | Meaning |

REMUX | Lossless copy of the Blu-ray source — highest quality, very large file size |
BluRay | Re-encoded from Blu-ray — high quality, more manageable size |
WEB-DL | Downloaded directly from a streaming platform — high quality |
WEBRip | Captured from a streaming platform — good quality |
HDR / DV | High dynamic range — only beneficial on HDR-capable displays |
x265 / HEVC | Modern codec — smaller files at equivalent quality |
x264 / AVC | Older codec — larger files, broader device compatibility |
General guidance:
- For most viewing: 1080p WEB-DL — reliable quality, compatible with all devices
- For 4K displays: 2160p WEB or 2160p BluRay — confirm your device supports the codec
- For slower connections: 1080p x265 or 720p
Browsing without searching
Stremio includes a Discover section for browsing by type, genre, year, and rating. Your installed addons may also add curated catalog sections to the home board.
Subtitles
To access subtitles during playback, click the CC icon in the player controls, search by language, and select a track.
Library and watch history
Stremio tracks watch progress and marks episodes as viewed automatically. Your library syncs across all logged-in devices. Titles can be added to a watchlist from their detail page.
